Just a thought?

I was reading a CEO's resume a few minutes ago and I was left with a thought. After listing about 6 jobs in 15 years, it said before each new job was introduced:

Following his work at XXXXX, he became SVP at....................

Shouldn't it say:

Following his failure at ......................
